In the late 1980s, a group of four friends formed the synth-pop band "Neon Dreams". The band was made up of lead singer and keyboardist Samantha "Sam" Smith, guitarist and backing vocalist Tyler "Ty" Jones, bassist and backing vocalist Mia Rodriguez, and drummer and percussionist Jake "J" Williams.
The group met in high school and bonded over their love of synthesizers, catchy hooks, and the burgeoning new wave music scene. They started playing local gigs and quickly gained a devoted following with their energetic live performances and unique blend of retro-futuristic sound.
Neon Dreams released their debut album "Electric Nights" in 1988, which included their hit single "Neon Lights" that climbed the charts and became an anthem of the era. The band went on to tour internationally, playing sold-out shows and earning a reputation as one of the leading acts of the synth-pop genre.
As their fame grew, the members of Neon Dreams became known for their bold fashion choices, often incorporating bright neon colors and geometric shapes into their stage outfits. Fans of the band began to emulate their style, and Mia, with her keen eye for design, saw an opportunity to turn her love of fashion into a business venture.
With the support of her bandmates, Mia launched a clothing line called "Neon Geometry" featuring clothing and accessories adorned with her signature neon geometric patterns. The line became a huge success, and the neon geometric print became a staple of 80s fashion.
